Espresso machines that are reliable can be a tough thing to find, but they’re most definitely out there. With a little bit of help, you should be making those small and wonderful cups of espresso in no time at all. Make sure you’re not drinking too much, though! You don’t want to overdo the caffeine (or maybe you do, I suppose it depends on the type of person you are). Some of the best products related to espresso machines are going to have reviews, but obviously they’re going to be cast in a positive light. Within the espresso world, there are a wide range of choices for you to pick from, but this time around is going to focus on the Mr. Coffee ECM160 4-Cup steam espresso machine.
This is an espresso machine that uses a steam process to make its beverages, and that’s completely fine with me. It forces incredibly hot steam through the filter in order to produce a very dark and rich espresso drink, one that’s going to perk you up almost immediately! The “Frothing Arm” will allow you to make a creamy froth to place on top of your espresso drink, which is a nice little tough that everybody loves to make use of (when it comes to lattes and cappuccinos, among other things). The Easy Pour Carafe can serve up to four shots of espresso at a time, and all of this is done through the tilt of your wrist. The Drip Catcher can also be removed, so you’ll be able to wash it (as well as the drip tray underneath) to keep the experience a tidy one. The features that this espresso machine has to offer are definitely amazing, but is it worth the amount of money you’re paying?
Pro’s & Con’s
The fact that there are plenty of uses for this espresso machine says a lot, and it’s also not very pricey either. You want an espresso machine that is jam-packed with features, but you don’t want to break your bank in the process. I would say that Mr. Coffee managed to blend both quality and budget perfectly into one product – and that would be the Mr. Coffee ECM160 espresso machine.
Although it doesn’t cost a lot of money, the materials used in the manufacturing process aren’t top notch. This means that there’s a risk of your espresso machine breaking down much quicker than it normally would, and that’s never a good sign!
All in all, I would say that this is definitely one of the more reasonable espresso machines on the market right now. I’ve used it for personal reasons and haven’t had a problem in the past, but you never know what the future holds in store for you! I’ve noticed that the features greatly outweigh the “cheap” feel it might give off, so there’s always that.
